Crimson and Clover Studio is the funny stationery and gift company founded in 2014 by writer Rachel Khona. A fizzy mix of heartfelt love and sass, Crimson and Clover’s deadpan cards and gifts are now carried in boutiques and chains across North America, including Paper Source and Urban Outfitters. Crimson and Clover Studio includes unconventional items like a tote bag that says “I’m Silently Judging Your Plastic Bag” bath bombs that say “Calm Down” and candles that say “Let’s Get Lit” and “Goal Digger”.
It all started with sassy sticky notes Rachel and her then-boyfriend would leave for each other. She realized she had a knack for sassy zingers and giggle-inducing puns, often outdoing then-boyfriend with her own sticky notes.
But when she came home one day to find she was unceremoniously dumped via sticky note (accompanied by her belongings left her boyfriend’s apartment), she decided to turn those lemons into lemonade. Rachel had stockpiled a collection of sassy phrases in her phone which she turned into greeting cards (and eventually gifts) giving her the last laugh.
